Firstly, my thanks to my sister Jayanthi Rajan because of whom I came to know about “IGNITE THE INTELLECT”, also known as “Medha Jananam”. Secondly, my thanks to Kirshnaji who made me understand the concepts and towards the end made me attain a “fruit” without undergoing through all the experiences in life by myself.

I recollect a story from Indian mythology which can be interpreted in many ways: One day the heavenly musician Narada came with a fruit to Kailash, the abode of Shiva. The family was in a joyous mood where Uma and Shiva were enjoying the naughty mischief of their little children Ganesh and Murugan/Skanda. Narada always causes some trouble which will eventually lead to something good. As usual he created a big nuisance by bringing only one fruit. Shiva and Uma were puzzled , but thought her two sons wouldn’t mind sharing the single fruit. But mischievous Narada said that the fruit was a divine one and it can’t be split in to two. Now all the four, Uma, Shiva, Ganesh and Skanda, were struggling to solve the problem. Lord Shiva said that whoever first circles the world should get it. Skanda was very happy because he knew his brother’s weakness. With a big tummy and rat as a vehicle his older brother Ganesh can’t even dream of beating him. So he accepted the big challenge straight away. But no one can take lightly Ganesh, the God of Wisdom. He also accepted the challenge but with a different agenda in his mind. Skanda, the slimmer of the two flew like a supersonic jet on his vehicle the peacock. Lord Ganesh, with a mischievous smile in his face, asked Uma and Shiva whether it was true that father and mother are the world for a child. They told him that was right. Ganesh simply went round his mother and father and the happy parents gave the fruit to him.

Incidentally or coincidentally, the same story was also included in the Medha Jananam, to make a point regarding 'cycles'. For me, “Medha Jananam” is the fruit, which I got without going all over the world.

I am into software Technology. I saw many similarities between Medha Jananam and OOPS (Object Oriented Programming Systems).

1. First Day I realized the concepts were very well abstracted - Abstraction.
2. Second Day I realized the concepts were very well encapsulated - Encapsulation.
3. Third Day I realized the concept “Medha Jananam” as an interface which can have multiple methods and one of the methods is “Framework of Aum” - Polymorphism.
4. Fourth Day I realized the concepts uses inheritance characteristics - Inheritance
5. Fifth Day I realized, if we combine all these concepts, it becomes one of the phases of the project , I could see the same vision in “Medha Jananam” in terms of Work Perspective.

I like to conclude by saying those who haven’t understood OOPS should go for “Medha Jananam” to understand it better and those who have understood OOPS but not life also should also go for “Medha Jananam”.
