this course “Medha Jananam” or the birth of the intellect is aptly named… the course is thought provoking and leads to a lot of questions that are left for open dialogue… the length of time devoted for this “open forum” between the participants is exemplary… the course sort of helps towards the goal of achieving a “balanced YOU”… tries to resolve questions that follow in life and seek answers for refinement of a “better YOU”.

even though the course has more emphasis with examples taken from the hindu-vedic aspects of life and philosophy, it also has many citations from other religions… islam, christianity, buddhism, etc…the instructor’s depth of knowlede is commendable and it clearly shows in the contents, organization, and presentation of this class.

perhaps, like all of you, i always ponder about this “universe” we live in, the forces behind its formation, existance, and the intricate balance(s) among various structures and organisms… and how this one species (homo sapiens) with much narrow focus on regionalism, religion, etc., is playing the tools of destruction …
